At the time of the 2010 census, Rosemount had a population of 21,874, an increase of 1.5% from the last census in 2009 and a decrease of 2.2% since 2000. According to the Gazetteer, there are three communities, also called "Rosemount," all located in Ohio, Ontario and Pennsylvania, with a population of more than 20,000. The population of RoseMount represents just over 1% of the total population of Minnesota (Minnesota has 5,303,925 inhabitants), making it the second largest city in Minnesota, after St. Paul.
